I am a disabled person living on a very tight budget. We were very misinformed and sold solar panels, which we found out after the first year would be unable to fund themselves as they did not generate enough energy to pay the loan taken out for their purchase. We were in total disbelief.
The letters and phone calls started to come, and the panic set in. I had never been in this situation in my life, embarrassment turned into a fear of losing everything. Even with the panels generating at their maximum output, we couldn’t recoup the £113/month repayments as they only generated £250/quarter; we were doomed from the start.
