The customer purchased Aquashield roof coating to reduce heat loss from his property and to extend the life of his roof.
The customer paid the deposit on his Halifax credit card. Consumer Reclaim expert evidence clearly demonstrated that the product could not prevent heat loss and wouldn’t extend the life of the roof and, therefore, the customer was mis-sold.
Consumer Reclaim pursued a claim on behalf of the customer against his Halifax credit card for full refund plus consequential loss for damage caused to the customer’s roof as a result of the aquashield treatment. Halifax upheld the claim awarding the customer £7,095.
