After Consumer Reclaim’s battle to get Hitachi to accept that they were at fault when their client’s property was damaged as a result of an Aquashield treatment, they finally agreed to a settlement.
Hitachi’s first offer was a payout of £2,728.00. Consumer Reclaim advised the client to reject the offer as they knew they were entitled to more. Consumer Reclaim went into negotiation with Hitachi to get the client a better deal.
After months of Consumer Reclaim persisting Hitachi increased the refund, Hitachi’s final offer was £6,680.68. Consumer Reclaim managed to get a 145% increase on the initial offer, this included; a full refund, plus interest, compensation for damage to the client’s roof and compensation for damage caused as a result of any overspray.
